To-Do List

I just realized that "Take crap downstairs" on my to-do list could be taken two ways. The way I meant it is take my tubs of winter crap down to my basement storage space. Hoping the classmate who was over earlier working on a project took it that way, too...

Spring Break, you say?

So, this week I am on Spring Break from my work. That is pretty awesome, but I'm going to warn you right now that I'm about to complain about it.

I have so much stuff to do for school that it is absolutely unreasonable. Last week, I was at the end of my rope with work+school+life, so I decided that this past weekend (the first few days of SB), I would go to my friend's bachelorette weekend in the Outer Banks and not take a bit of homework with me, for the sake of my sanity. That was definitely a good decision; however, I did not factor in that I would get less than 8 hours of sleep over the 48 hours I was there. If you know me at all, you know I don't function on little or no sleep. Sunday was family day, because my stepsiblings were here from Texas. [Side note: if this blog tells me one more of my words is not a real world, I'm going to have a hissyfit]. [[Dang, apparently hissyfit is not a real word!]]

Point being, I had no time to do anything ever Friday-Sunday. Monday and Tuesday I still had class and/or class activities (like group meetings for projects), as well as a project meeting tonight. I babysat all day today and am babysitting again Friday afternoon. Sunday is Easter and Sunday night I have another group project meeting, which I hope does not mean I'm going to burn in hell. But the kicker is, I have 2 little projects and 1 HUGE project due Monday and Tuesday for classes, on top of regular homework. I just feel like I have pretty much no time to even be writing this stuff, much less actually relaxing.

Again, I know I shouldn't be complaining, because 95% of occupations get no such thing as Spring Break from work. I just wish it were a real break... I really needed one! This makes me super glad I did not sign up for any classes in July-August! Sorry this post wasn't funny. Needed to vent!

As long as I'm complaining...

If the dogs next door do not shut up, I'm going to have an out of body experience.

How to Drive, by the BurgBlogger

It's not that hard. 16 year olds do it!

1) If you are driving in a city and the crosswalk signs start flashing stop to pedestrians as you approach a green light, that means that the light is about to turn yellow. After lights turn yellow, they turn red. It is courteous to put your foot on the f-ing gas and accelerate through the green light, not continue window shopping as helpless cars behind you get stuck at the light due to your unobservant a$$.

2) If you are parking on a street, do not randomly pick a spot to stop in a large space. Pull the f up to the car in front of or behind you, within 18 inches of their bumper. I'm sorry if you have to do a 3 point turn to get in or out, but such is life.

3) If you are the first person parking on a street, pull up to 18 inches of the intersection or crosswalk edge. Otherwise, you f up the whole parking pattern when people pull up behind you.

4) SIGNAL. It's free!

5) Insider bonus tip: unless you are turning left within the next mile or going faster than the cars on your right, you do not need to be in the left lane.

Seriously?

My return to blogging is sparked by the most ridiculous online dating email I have ever gotten. Actually, I don't even know what the email said... it's the guy's screen name: bigpole4lilhole. SERIOUSLY?? How vile is that! I think I might have to wo-man up and pay for a real site like match or eharmony; this free site appears to be all pervs.
