Paper or Plastic?

Creepiest thing I've ever seen, hands down: You know those storage bags where you suck out all the air with a vacuum cleaner and they make 50 sweaters the size of a quarter? First of all, they don't work well for me. But I digress. Creepiest thing ever is the picture of a baby with an "X" over it on the side of the bag. Why the hell would you put a baby in there? And if you're psychotic enough to do so, is a picture on the side really going to stop you? "Oh, this is actually not recommended. Hmm, crib it is, then."

I had the time of my life!

Best moment of the weekend: definitely the playing of "I Had the Time of My Life" from Dirty Dancing at a bar, which resulted in everyone freaking out and hitting the floor dancing melodramatically. Ah, Patrick Swayze. *Tear.

Eh?

I'm at Starbucks using their wi-fi since I don't have internet at my place yet. I'm sitting outside, which has proven glorious on this wonderful Fall day (my fave weather). However, a man in a Spiderman costume just walked through the patio as if nothing was odd about his getup. It's time to go. Gotta love Willow Lawn!

I'm sure you're a great kid, but...

A random 4-year-old kid I've never seen before came up to me in the cafeteria today and called me "mommy." Note that he was decidedly 100% African-American. I am oddly pleased by this.

In other news, I hate men.

Speaking of future husbands...

... not to be creepy and stalkerish, but let's just say my condo is super clean right now, almost like a professional's been in there. Oh boy, I crack myself up. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you're probably thinking I might be crazy. If you do know what I'm talking about, you're probably also thinking I might be crazy. Maybe I am. Sigh... :)

Elevator Muzak

As Sophia would say, Picture this: Richmond, 2009. I step on an elevator to find that it's already holding an unknown woman and an unknown man, apparently also strangers to each other. The lady is talking about how the elevator is really slow. I assume she's talking to the man, since he's like, "Umm hmm." And then she says, "I don't even feel like I should be on this thing," to which he replies, "Oh ok, yeah," a little awkwardly. Then she turns her head, and she is totally on a hands-free phone. She asks whoever's on the other end what time they're going to meet up later. The guy turns bright red. I thought I was going to die laughing at him, but I couldn't because he was cute and I didn't want to ruin the moment I met my future husband.

Plusses and minuses... and you know I don't like math

I just realized that I haven't blogged since I've been a homeowner! Totally unacceptable. I don't have internet at my house yet, though. I'm going to go without until A) Comcast comes up with a better bundle deal or B) I start twitching. It's a little test for myself to make sure I'm not addicted. However, as this also includes me not having cable yet, a third deal-breaker (C) may be when my new neighbors come knocking on my door offering to chip in for me to get cable so they can stop hear "Thank You For Being A Friend" playing on the Golden Girls dvds that are currently on constant play for background noise.

Note: I do not know how to spell the plural of "plus." I looked it up and it said "pluses" and "plusses" are both acceptable, but I don't really believe that. Furthermore, I find this bloggable to alert all of you Catch Phrase fans to the fact that last night I got "caddy" spelled wrong (with an "ie" instead of a "y"). It seriously threw me off.

Anyhow, homeowning is going well. I love my place and love having visitors, so come see it soon! I will make you ramen noodles. Peace out.
